1. Livestock Insurance Programme: Under the scheme, the crossbred and high yielding cattle and buffaloes are being insured at maximum of their current market price. The premium of the insurance is subsidized to the tune of 50% for maximum two animals per policy.

The Centrally Sponsored Fodder Development Scheme is being implemented from 2005-06 with the following four components: Establishment of Fodder Block Making Units, Grassland Development including Grass Reserves, Fodder Seed Production and Distribution and Biotechnology Research Projects. The Scheme has been modified from 2010 to ensure efficient use of available fodder/feed.
