I. Central Sector Schemes/ CSS
1.National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP): The aim and objective of NRDWP is to provide every rural person with adequate safe water for drinking, cooking and other basic domestic needs on a sustainable basis, with a minimum water quality standard, which should be conveniently accessible at all times and in all situations. State level target- 4203 habitation coverage, and achieved 792 habitations at a cost of Rs.867.1cr. during 2016-17 to 2018-19.
2. Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural):To accelerate the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and to put focus on sanitation, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on 2nd October, 2014. The Mission has two Sub-Missions – the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). The Mission aims to achieve a Swachh Bharat by 2019. State level target- 883nos community centric complex; 315147 nos of individual household latrines against which 164nos CSC and 2500727 nos IHHL during 2016-17 to 2018-19.
II. State Schemes:
1. Construction of community water purification plans.
2.Construction of community sanitary complex.
3.Solid and liquid waste management activities in GPs.
4.Potable Water for Tea Garden areas.
5.Upgradation and modernisation of pipe water supply scheme.
6.Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Projects: State level targets- 395 schemes out of which 11 schemes completed at a cost of Rs.49.15cr during 2016-17 to 2018-19.
